Meeting Points

Social drop-ins that offer a cuppa, a warm welcome and useful information

Meeting Points are social drop-ins in villages and coastal communities throughout Romney Marsh and parts of the south of Ashford borough.  These Meeting Points are run by volunteers, supported by CARM's Meeting Points coordinator, Mrs Emma Wiltshire.
Meeting Points provide a local point of contact for meeting old friends and new, in a friendly and welcoming environment.  They are not 'clubs' - everyone is welcome, and refreshments are available.
Meeting Points also provide a useful source of information and access to a range of services.  There is a well-stocked Information Point (with useful leaflets), and regular outreach 'surgeries', including Hi-Kent (for hearing aid batteries and tube cleaning); Citizen's Advice and others.  Local Community Wardens often drop-in, and there is a programme of guest speakers who visit to give information about their services.
