Safeguarding the Older Person

A project which raises awareness and provides information about the mistreatment and abuse of older people.

CARM's StOP project is focussed on safeguarding older people and aims to:
  • Raise awareness of the mistreatment and abuse of older people;
  • Provide information and training to those working with older people, particularly volunteers and paid workers in the voluntary sector, about how to spot the signs of abuse and what to do about it.

CARM offers Information Sessions which are designed to raise awareness of abuse generally and how to support individuals being abused. These sessions are designed to run for half a day and are currently free of charge.

For details of forthcoming dates or to discuss the possibility of arranging a sessions for your own group or organisation please ring CARM's office on 01233 758122 or click on the link below to send an email.  We will then contact you once dates are fixed.
